uptown, midtown, downtown

In a city that’s so culturally diverse and enigmatically inspiring, it’s hard to jot down a simple ‘to do’ list. One thing's for sure, there is something for everyone in New York City. It's the epicentre for art, music and fashion. The three of us have been fortunate enough to experience the wonders this city has to offer and we’re bringing it to you in point form. Consider this your lonely planet guide, bible and passport. Trust us, in New York City, you’ll find whatever it is you’re looking for…

1. Get inspired…visit the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) and the amazing space at New Museum where our beautiful friend Thomas spends his days.

MoMA
11 West 53 Street, New York

New Museum

2. Hire a bicycle for $9 and ride your way around Central Park. We recommend taking a friend and singing along the way.

Next to Central Park Boathouse Restaurant, Central Park, New York

3. Dance your tooshies off at Sway Lounge on Sunday nights to all genres of rock n roll. Order shots and light up a cigarette.

Sway Lounge
305 Spring Street, New York

4. BYO and order a delicious vegetarian feast at Angelica Kitchen. If you’re waiting in line have a cocktail at the friendly little pub down the street.

Angelica Kitchen
300 East 12th Street, New York

5. Head to the Brooklyn Flea market on Saturdays for an array of unique vintage finds. The market is a patchwork quilt of fur, leather, denim and florals…prepare to be overwhelmed.

Brooklyn Flea
176 Lafayette Ave, Fort Greene

6. Attack 5th avenue & Broadway head on…Urban Outfitters, Topshop, Madewell, Zara and LF store to name 5 out of 27,846. Water and energy snacks come highly recommended.

7. Venture across to Manhatten’s trendy sidekick, Brooklyn for a heap of cute vintage stores and quirky bookshops down Bedford Avenue. Have a cocktail at Rosemary’s for happy hour.

8. Log onto ohmyrockness.com for your ultimate New York gig guide…think the Flaming Lips $40, The Black Keys $35, Florence and the Machine $30 and The xx’s free show at Central Park Summerstage…

We’ll see you there soon xx
